Team Summit Youth Spotlight : Frankie

One of our most recent success stories is Frankie (pictured below), he has come a very long way in a few years. Frankie was burned over 70% of his body as a small child and was a resident at St. Anne’s Home and School in Methuen, has been participating in the program and has been able to form relationships with the other youth in the program that have been supportive and helped him to grow.

Due to the multiple surgeries and medical procedures he has undergone and his greater understanding of the medical care professionals role, he is now interested in becoming a nurse. His attendance in school and his grades have improved beyond expectation, he is currently attending school at the Lawrence High Learning Center. Team SUMMIT has been a large part of his life for a long time now, he is a completely different kid from the he started with the program. Team SUMMIT has guided him along in many different areas in his life, it’s been a constant part of his growth.

When asked about Team SUMMIT, Frankie responded “I feel like Team SUMMIT wants to see you do what you do best and only be successful in life”.

Frankie is volunteering with the program now and wants to work with Team SUMMIT on the side while he pursues further education opportunities. These are the kinds of results – leading to better life outcomes further on – that we hope to promote and continue to grow with in the future.
